bulletEquations hold for coaxial, stripline, and conical transmission lines.  Diagram shows a coaxial line.
bulletEquations hold for positive and negative polarity (negative polarity shown in diagram), but do not hold in the case of a positive polarity MITL (because of the layered flow resulting from emission from each of the feed cells).  For the case of a positive polarity MITL, the self-limited impedance is ~Zo/2.
